My Weeks at Prime Time
As I walked into the Westend PRIME TIME fitness studio in Frankfurt for the first time, I must admit that I was a bit skeptical. I had recently reluctantly cancelled my $160 membership at a luxury chain gym in New York City due to my unexpected relocation to Frankfurt, Germany. At the time, I was under the illusion that all of the additional perks that came along with holding a membership such as a wellness center, restaurant and retail store made the monthly membership cost worthwhile. Staying fit and healthy had always been a top priority for me and I was not going to let my move from New York City to Frankfurt compromise that. So naturally, I was determined to join a fitness studio in Frankfurt that could at least somewhat live up to my previous experience with fitness studios in America.
The Westend PRIME TIME fitness studio was definitely a down size in comparison to the gym I previously worked out at. At Prime Time additional perks were not offered. At initial glance, the gym floor itself was the only seemingly attractive component of the PRIME TIME fitness studio. However, I quickly learned that there was much more that came along with becoming a member at Prime Time than I had initially thought. My conversation with Toby, a personal trainer at the club ended up having a significant impact on my thought process behind joining a gym. As he explained the workings behind the Prime Time fitness concept, I realized that I had lost sight of what my actual purpose behind joining a gym was.
At PRIME TIME an efficient and effective workout is top priority. The trainers work with the members in a personalized way and focus on each member’s needs to help create a workout plan that achieves their personal fitness goals. I thought back to my experience at my previous gym and although there were many benefits to holding such a membership, there were also disadvantages. Joining PRIME TIME fitness would offer me the ability to establish connections with trainers that would work with me to attain my goal. The personalized approach that PRIME TIME fitness offers wasn’t an aspect that was readily available at the gym I previously attended. Although the gym I worked out at in New York City had enticing features, these aspects were ultimately not centered around the most important factor behind joining a gym.
My eyes scanned the gym for a second time, but this time I had a new perspective where my training experience was my top priority. As I looked around the gym I sensed the motivating club atmosphere that flowed throughout the club, and I too wanted to be a part of it. Despite my initial doubts, PRIME TIME fitness studio really did seem like the perfect place where I could finally experience the training that I was missing.
With help from Toby, we created the structure for a four-week fitness plan. In the past I have always struggled with sticking to a fitness plan; however, I am now more confident than ever that my four week workout plan will be a success due to the support from the trainers at PRIME TIME. Once a week I plan to meet with a trainer that will guide me during my process of becoming a healthier, better version of myself. The program will begin with a personal training session where an InBody analysis and consultation will be completed. My second appointment is intended to create a personalized workout plan based on my results from the InBody analysis. The third personal training session is intended to serve as a check up appointment. At the end of my four week workout plan at PRIME TIME I will have one final appointment in which a new InBody analysis will be conducted and analyzed to review my overall progress.
